- The trip started at Virginia Lakes and ended, for a few of us, at Tuolumne Meadows. This is the whole crew at the start.
- Cat in front of a small mountain cabin. The cabin is shorter than Cat.
- This, and the next three pictures, are various lakes in the Virginia Lakes area on our first day.
- It was pretty hot, and these lakes looked cool, but we did not stop to swim.
- After a big hill-climb the first day, the second day leveled off, as seen here.
- The second day also had fewer stops for water. Here we're discussing our options.
- We pressed on, despite the dryness.
- On the left is the trickle of a stream. On the right, just in the trees, a really nice campsite.
- By 11:00 a.m. on the third day, Cat was craving Fritos and camera batteries. Too bad the store doesn't open until 1:00 p.m.
- Store or not, a delightful place to sit and rest.
- On we go, just another mile to our campsite.
- Finally a place to go for a swim. This was a short walk from our campsite.
- Nice scenery on our way out on the fourth day.
- Self portrait.
- Deer in the meadows, approaching Tuolumne Meadows.
